Job Title: Licensed Childcare Administrator
Location: Her Heart Can, Denton County, Texas
Availability: Full-Time
Salary: $65000-$75000 Yearly
Job Summary: As a Licensed Childcare Administrator at Her Heart Can, you will assume a key leadership role in overseeing the childcare program provided to pregnant and parenting adolescents residing in our residential treatment center. Working closely with the Clinical and Medical Directors, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care that supports the well-being and development of young mothers and their children. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to promoting a nurturing and supportive environment for families in need.
Responsibilities:
  1. Program Management: Oversee all aspects of the program, including staffing, scheduling, curriculum development, and regulatory compliance, to ensure the provision of comprehensive and effective services to pregnant and parenting adolescents and their children.
  2. Staff Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and ongoing support, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment dedicated to meeting the needs of residents and their children.
  3. Case Management: Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident and their child, addressing their unique needs, goals, and challenges while promoting personal growth, stability, and self-sufficiency.
  4. Parenting Support: Offer parenting education, guidance, and support to pregnant and parenting adolescents, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to provide nurturing and responsive care to their children.
  5. Child Development: Ensure that all childcare activities and programming are developmentally appropriate and aligned with best practices in early childhood education, supporting the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children in a safe and stimulating environment.
  6. Safety and Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant state licensing regulations, safety standards, and center policies and procedures, conducting regular inspections and assessments of Her Heart Can facilities and practices to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
  7. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the clinical team, medical staff, social workers, educators, and other stakeholders to coordinate services and support for residents and their families, promoting integrated and holistic care that addresses their comprehensive needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in early childhood education, social work, psychology, or a related field required.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Childcare Administrator in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Mental treatment center management, preferably in a residential treatment or similar setting serving adolescents and families.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles, child development, parenting education, and relevant state regulations governing residential childcare facilities.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the pregnancy residential treatment center, including a dedication to empowering young mothers and promoting positive outcomes for families.
