Senior Service Q&A Panel
More and more seniors are choosing to age in place in their homes, delaying their entry into skilled nursing facilities and senior communities. However, some environmental barriers in and around the home may be preventing an individual from aging in place, causing them to transition to these types of communities prematurely. There are a growing number of resources to the aging population to help them in this but many may not know where to look or what resources are available. On February 19th, 2015, from 6-8p.m., the Good Samaritan Society-Denton Village will hold its first Senior Service Q&A Panel to answer questions about resources that can be utilized to help someone age in place longer. Answers to questions about home safety, Medicare coverage, medication management, care coordination and financial management will be answered at this event. The service providers to be in attendance include: ? Accountable Aging Care Management ? North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging ? North Texas Home Health Care ? Morrison Residence Assisted Living ? Autumn Leaves Memory Care ? Geri Options ? Ray of Sunshine Sitting Services ? Visiting Physicians Association ? Good Samaritan Society- Denton Village Post-Acute & Rehabilitation Services For more information or to RSVP by February 16th, contact Tanya Hickman at 940-383-6345 or at phickman@good-sam.com.
