Join Judge Haertling and Judge Shipman for a discussion on the state of our Foster system in Denton County. Learn about the HUGE urgency there is to find new Foster Parent's in Denton County in an effort to address the epidemic.
Foster homes provide a temporary home until a child can be safely reunited with his or her family. When children are placed in foster care, caregivers are responsible for meeting their basic needs.
But you are not alone! There are tons of resources to support you, and some of these agencies will be there to provide information on Fostering. When provided with the love and support from their foster parents, these children grow up to be successful citizens, parents, employees and community leaders, because they had foster parents that believed in their potential. Join us on August 31st to learn more. There will be area agencies available to help with the sign up process and promote awareness of resources available to foster parents. There will also be current foster parents in attendance, who will have the chance to tell their stories.
