National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer is a day designated by Congress as the first Thursday of May each year when all people are encouraged to gather for prayer over our nation and its leaders. Our event is filled with activity starting at 11:40 with pre-event music by the seniors from Denton Calvary Academy, who later join the Robby Wright Family in the National Anthem. The Vietnam Veterans do a full color guard presentation, entering from under the Firefighter's Arch of Honor. Area pastors lead prayers over the seven areas of power and influence, which include Government, Military, Media, Education, Business, Churches and Families. Childcare is provided by reservation at the Calvary Chapel located in the Fine Arts Theater on the Square. Contact Dani at (940) 380-0005.
