Government Relations Meeting: Fair Chance Hiring Feedback Session

Government Relations Feedback Session: City staff have been directed to investigate the issue of a fair chance hiring ordinance. “Fair chance hiring”, also described as “ban the box”, is a hiring practice that limits criminal history questions or inquiries until the end of the hiring process. City staff will briefly introduce the topic and request feedback from chamber members on the benefits and challenges of a potential ordinance that could require fair chance hiring for most employers within the City of Denton.
