FIGHTING CHILDHOOD OBESITY
Seminar Series Opener Provides Advice To Keep Children Active
Springbok Academy announced today a free seminar series aimed at providing information parents can use to navigate the challenging world of early childhood. The first seminar speaker is Melissa Malpass, Owner/Program Director for Stretch-n-Grow Denton. Titled “Grow Happy, Healthy Kids,” her seminar’s goal is to help parents avoid childhood obesity and the diseases that result from that. She will talk about exercise and activities parents can encourage at home to help their children stay active and healthy.
“We see the benefits that the Stretch-n-Grow program brings to the children of the Academy,” said Elizabeth Seibt, Owner/Director of Springbok Academy. “We felt it was important to share this information with the parents of the community.”
The free seminar will be Thursday, January 31st, at 7:00 p.m. at Springbok Academy—1300 Fulton, Suite 502, Denton. Reservations are requested, and babysitting will be provided. To reserve a seat and babysitting space, parents should call the office at 940-381-1861 or email info@springbokacademy.com.
