Denton Mayor's Day of Concern for the Hungry
Over 104,000 Denton County residents do not know where their next meal will come from, including 10% of seniors and 18% of children, but we rarely hear about this issue here at home. To change that, Mayor Chris Watts will declare April 21st, 2015, the fourth annual Mayor’s Day of Concern for the Hungry. From April 14-20, Dentonites will donate nonperishable food to #StopDentonCoHunger and benefit these organizations that serve food to people in need in our community.
