Throwing them in the trash could allow them to fall into the wrong hands or lead to accidental poisonings - and flushing them down the toilet is not the answer. We have a solution; bring your unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications to Denton Drug Disposal Day. This drive-thru event is free to all Denton residents. Please stay in your vehicle at all times and keep medications in their original containers. Black out personal information on the container, but do not cover up the name of the medication. This event is brought to you by a partnership through the City of Denton Recycling Division, University of North Texas, Denton Police Department, and the Denton County Sheriff's Department.
