SUMMARY:Denton's Best Medicine: A Musical Comedy\, 5th Anniversay Gala for Denton Community Health Clinic
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 12\, 2016 at the UNT Union Ballroom from 6:30 to 10:30 pm\, join Drs. Filippo and Alice Masciarelli for an evening for laughter and dancing while supporting a great cause.  This year\, Denton Community Health Clinic will the awarding its first "Community Health Champions Awards".  The honorees this year are Untied Way of Denton County and Mayor Chris Watts.  There will be musical theatre during a sit down dinner\, entertainment of all kinds\, a silent auction\, complimentary parking\, and cash bar.  All this to provide funds so that the homeless and those living at poverty can receive health services through Denton Community Health Clinic.  Without access to affordable health services these individuals are not able to care for their families or work.  The clinic's  providers have kept over 500 individuals working or returning to work since they were able to manage their illness.  Medications are provided\, access to specialists is not a barrier\, and these individuals now have a chance to be productive citizens thanks to the support of the community.  Come have fun\, wear your dancing shoes\, leave your problems at the door for a few hours.
