DESCRIPTION:Denton Community Theatre Presents...\n\n \n\nChristmas Belles\n\nBy Jessie Jones\, Nicholas Hope & Jamie Wooten\n\n \n\nDenton Community Theatre is celebrating this Christmas season with a Texas twang. Christmas Belles takes place in the small Texas town of Fayro where sisters Frankie\, Twink and Honey Raye Futrelle are feeling less than festive.  Frankie is overdue with her second set of twins\, Twink has recently been jilted\, is bitter and in jail (trying to burn her boyfriends belongings got a bit out of control)\, and Honey Raye suffers from hot flashes while trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb's Christmas Program from being a disappointing disaster. The production's cast members unfortunately dined at the band booster's pancake supper where they contracted a touch of food poisoning.  Santa Claus has a kidney stone and one special shepherd\, Raynerd\, insists on pulling his red wagon to tend his flock. Christmas Belles has all this AND an Elvis impersonator- it is truly holiday hilarity.\n\n \n\nCo-Directors\, Betty Kay Seibt & Bonnie McCormick report that the entire cast is " having a ball rehearsing this show with a collection of improbable coincidences\, crazy characters who remind you of your own relatives\, and laugh-a-minute lines."  Seibt describes it as "The Daughters of the Lone Star State put on the Best Little Christmas Pageant in Tuna\, TX."  Take a break from your to-do list this holiday\, and treat yourself to an evening\, or afternoon\, of laughs at the Campus Theatre.  As an extra treat\, the character of Reynerd will be celebrated with a prize drawing for a red wagon filled with family fun items.
