DESCRIPTION:Bowl for Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters' annual Bowl-a-Thon event where participants form fundraising teams in an effort to raise support for mentor programs in Denton County! Your team is provided an online fundraising page and tools to make raising support for our Bigs and Littles easy. Each year we have a theme and this year is "Old School" 50's-90's. Costume's encouraged!\n\n\n\nAll teams then come together to celebrate their life-changing achievement at a large\, high-energy bowling party complete with give-aways\, live DJ\, a silent auction you don't want to miss\, and complimentary bowling\, food & beverages. In addition\, teams get the opportunity to meet and interact with BBBS staff and volunteers they have worked so hard to help.\n\n\n\nEach team of 4-5 bowlers is encouraged to raise $1\,000 prior to the event and will receive a special thank you gift at the event. Local businesses can sponsor your team and also receive recognition and many other perks (see sponsorship flyer)\n\n\n\n\n\nWHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?\n\n\n\nBy partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters through Bowl for Kids' Sake\, you make a positive\, long-lasting impact on children in your community. Our mentoring is statistically proven to help at-risk youth achieve higher aspirations\, greater confidence\, and educational success! Over 80% of our children come from economically disadvantaged homes. Big Brothers and Big Sisters provide the one-to-one friendship and experiences that help us break the cycle of poverty and encourage our Littles to achieve more. 99.4% of our Littles are promoted to the next grade and show improvement within a year of being mentored.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, Bowl For Kids' Sake is the perfect team building opportunity or community service project\, giving your company or group a fun and interactive way to make an impact on their local communities.
