Randi Skinner saluted for volunteer efforts
Randi Skinner, from Denton County Friends of the Family, was named the Denton Chamber Volunteer of the Year during the Annual Membership Banquet on March 22, 2018.
She presently serves as a Program Co-Chair for the chamber’s Leadership Denton class. She is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Denton. This past year, she was directly involved in efforts to organize the Leadership Denton alumni for post graduate service.
In addition to serving as the standing chair of the chamber’s Membership & Marketing Committee, she took on the added responsibility of programming and co-hosting the Coffee Grind Show. The Coffee Grind is an internet-based, video-oriented program on Denton Radio.Com.
Randi was elected to serve a three-year term as voting director on the chamber Board beginning April 1, 2018.
Kristi Stokes, Managing Partner of ServPro made the award presentation. She said, “What makes Randi Skinner even more appealing as our Volunteer of the Year is her cheerful and enthusiastic personality.” ServPro was a Platinum Sponsor for the Annual Membership Banquet.
Nominees are submitted by the chamber staff. The Executive Committee determines the recipient. The award has been presented at every Annual Membership Banquet since 1993.
