Professor?s Corner returns to the South Branch Library
Professor’s Corner, a free discussion group devoted to literary texts, begins its new season at the South Branch library on Wednesday, October 13th at 7:00PM.
The October program will be:" Is Self Reliance an Anachronism?: The Relevance of Emerson’s Essay in the 21st Century” presented by Dr. Alfred Litton of Texas Woman’s University. The discussion will center around key concepts in Emerson's essay and how our current circumstances (globalization, technology, economic interdependence, etc.) present challenges to the Emersonian ideal of self-reliance
